My collaboration on this project was during the time I worked for Amadeus IT Group. I was part of the RefX design team as a UX/UI designer.
Travel technology company that builds the critical solutions that help airlines and airports, hotels and railways, search engines, travel agencies, tour operators and other travel players to run their operations and improve the travel experience, billions of times a year, all over the world.
They have been doing it for more than 30 years. Innovating. Moving fast. Working with customers and partners to power better, more rewarding journeys. Leading the industry forward to shape a better future of travel.
Reference Experience product is a javascript UI library that uses DAPI as a backend to provide booking services. It is transpiled from typescript and integrates CSS and images. The library has a customization system and can change behaviour at run time via configuration.
In easy words: It is a white-label customizable digital product for Airlines worldwide, designed and developed from scratch in Amadeus.
Products:

First the requirement comes from a business or technical need, or a specific user need depending on the global context. Then, the requirement is refined and split if required with PO, PM, BA. After the management team builds the user stories and defines the scope for each. We refine them altogether and size them with Scrum points (2, 3, 5, 8, 13) depending on how much work needs to be done. If the iteration of the product or new feature, needs user research, it is going to be prioritized at first always.
After all, we get User Stories assigned depending on our capacity for the sprint, we design, and then we have Design critique sessions altogether to refine and iterate the designs. After designs are signed off from the design team, we present the final proposal to the management team. And then they prioritize the iteration or new feature with the dev team. We get to review at the end of the development if it meets the expectations in terms of UI, behavior, experience, animations, and interactions.
Clean and modern designs, easy to customize, and easy for users to navigate having the best experience.

Although RefX is mobile first, there are some features, such as the flight cards for example, that change its look&feel and interactions depending on the screen resolution. This in order to always deliver the best user experience based on insights and research.
All flows, statuses, edge cases and error cases are designed and delivered in such a way is comprehensible for the management team and the developer.
